times near the intersection of main street and hill avenue. he died at a local hospital. more details this morning about that nanny accused of killing two children in new york city. she has no criminal history but did recently seek psychiatric help. the children's mother found the two and six-year-old kids stabbed in the bathtub on thursday. they were fully clothed. they died on the way to the hospital. the nanny had also stabbed herself several times. she is still alive, but investigators can't question her yet because of wounds to her neck. >> two teenagers were injured when they were hit by a car while walking along a sonoma street yesterday afternoon. the 14-year-old boys were in the crosswalk when they were struck by a 92-year-old man driving a car. one of the boys suffered a possible skull fracture. the other had minor cuts and bruises. sheriff's deputies say the man did not see the teens. speed and alcohol are not considered factors in that accident. >>> 33 new fire department new recruits in san jose begin training tomorrow. it will be the largest numbers of recruits the city

to the local streets. we looked at three options at a sketch level planning analysis. one is to signalize some of those traffic flows. the second was -- excuse me, number one on the slide would be close san jose avenue. it serves about 500 vehicles per hour so you would need to manage that in a different way. the second option on the slide would be to close monterey and the ramp, which serves very low traffic volume in the peak. that traffic would likely be accommodated on ther routes. these have trade offs, whether from traffic diversion or what it would do to the actually local context. among the three, the study notes monterey as most promising, maintained for bicycle or potentially as land use and corridor planning advances be dismantled. clearly further community input is needed. this part of the analysis was really just to establish at a planning level what are the possibilities and anticipate a future phase of planning work that would bring together community groups from both sides of the cut to look at this in a more detailed fashion. what are near-term opportunities and long-term oppo
